Dentistry is delivered differently in foreign countries.

While American health care is generally considered the best in the world, some countries have superior systems. In Europe, there are fewer specialists, and most care is delivered by generalists.

The general dentists try to excel in certain specialties and pride themselves in having multiple services under one roof. Here in America, we have specialists in populated areas who generalists refer to for certain services. While this works well in urban situations, it doesn't work as well in rural areas.
